Local Artists of All Ages Invited to Explore a "World of Colour" in 2026 Credit Union Art Competition

Derry Credit Union is delighted to invite artists of all ages to get creative as the 2026 Credit Union Art Competition opens for entries. This years theme encourages participants to use art to explore the colours, experiences and perspectives that make our world unique. 'World of Colour', offers endless opportunities for artists to tell their stories through creativity.

Who can Enter?

The competition is open in two categories-

General Category and Additional Needs Category.

Each category includes the following age groups (based on age as of 31st December 2026)

• 7 years and under
• 8-10 years inclusive
• 11-13 years inclusive
• 14-17 years inclusive
• 18 years and over (Adult)

How to Enter?

Please make sure you read the full competition rules and entry requirements before submitting your artwork.

1. Create your artwork based on the theme 'World of Colour'.

2. Complete the entry form and securely attach it to your artwork

3. Submit your artwork to Derry Credit Union by 9th October 2026.

Entries must be hand drawn or painted, as digital artwork is not eligible. Artwork must be  A2/ A3 size and in landscape orientation. Local winners will progress to regional and national stages of competition.

Please note: The wider ILCU competition communication may refer to 23rd October 2026 as the closing date. For entries being submitted through Derry Credit Union, the deadline is 9th October 2026.

Art work can be left to Derry Credit Union offices in either Abbey Street or Main Street, Claudy.
