• Ordering Foreign Currencies: We only stock the most requested currencies in limited amounts. We may have to order large amounts or more unusual currencies. Please ring us beforehand to arrange your order if required.
• Commission: Derry Credit Union Limited charges no commission for Members changing sterling into foreign currencies.
• Foreign Exchange Desk Opening Hours: Our Foreign Exchange Desk operates in both our Derry and Claudy offices and is open Monday and Tuesday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. Our Foreign Exchange service is available to Derry Credit Union Members only.

The Next of Kin Nomination allows you to name the person or persons you wish to receive your shares and insurance attached to them in the event of your death.

• A properly completed, valid Next of Kin nomination means we can disburse up to £20,000 to the nominee/s without a will or probate.
• A valid nomination takes precedence over a will. Where there is both a will and a valid nomination, we will act according to the nomination. Please ensure that both your will and nomination are consistent with your wishes.
• You may nominate one individual or several persons.
• You must update your nomination if you marry, divorce or if the nominee dies before you.

To complete, change or update your nomination, visit our Reception desk on Abbey Street or 99 Main Street, Claudy.

You can choose to receive your loans and withdrawals by Electronic Funds Transfer or EFT. Transfers are authorized several times during each business day with a cut-off time of 4.00 pm for same day payment. You must have a six-digit PIN and be registered for online banking to use this service.

Our Credit Control staff provide a friendly, non-judgmental, and empathetic ear if you cannot pay your loan as agreed. We can offer some kinds of assistance to help you through a challenging time and keep your account up-to-date. To speak to a member of our Credit Control staff ring 028 7126 6738.

Note: a member who takes on a Debt Relief Order, bankruptcy, or an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) will cease to be a member of the credit union. They will lose their membership benefits, including Life Savings Insurance and Death Benefit Insurance. They will not be readmitted to the credit union until their loan balance is repaid in full.

Return your completed application form at least two weeks prior to the next scheduled meeting.
